LegalCookie policy
This site does not use cookies. Here is exactly what that means, and why there is no banner asking you to accept anything.
We do not use cookies
kovapmc.com sets no cookies of any kind. Not essential ones, not preference ones, not analytics, not advertising. Nothing is written to your browser's storage, and nothing is read back from it.
Why there is no banner
Consent banners exist because the ePrivacy rules require your permission before a site stores or reads anything on your device that is not strictly necessary. We store and read nothing, so there is nothing to ask you about. A banner here would be theatre.
No third-party requests either
A page can leak data about you without ever setting a cookie, simply by loading a file from someone else's server, which hands them your IP address. This site does not do that. Every asset comes from our own domain:
- Fonts are self-hosted. Open Sauce Sans and JetBrains Mono are served from kovapmc.com, not from Google Fonts.
- No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Meta pixel, no LinkedIn tag, no heatmaps and no session recording.
- No embeds. No YouTube, no Vimeo, no maps, no chat widget, no social buttons.
The one exception is deliberate: when you submit the contact form, that submission is sent to our form provider so it can reach our inbox. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press the button. The privacy policy covers what happens to it.
What our host records
Serving a web page necessarily involves a request reaching a server. Our host keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, time, page, user agent) to deliver the site and defend it against abuse. That is not a cookie and it cannot follow you to other websites.
Controlling cookies anyway
Every major browser lets you block and delete cookies for any site, and offers a private browsing mode. Nothing here depends on cookies, so blocking them will not break this site in any way.
If this ever changes
If we add anything that sets a cookie or calls a third party, we will publish the details on this page and put a real consent mechanism in front of it, one that asks before it loads and lets you say no as easily as yes, before the change goes live.
